All three Unamatata subsidiaries are wholly owned subsidiaries of Haack GmbH:
Unamatata GmbH exclusively supplies NON-FOOD items to the public sector.
Unamatata Foods GmbH exclusively supplies food products to the public sector.
Unamatata Trade Solutions GmbH is an internal service function as well as supplying commercial customers.

WHO WE ARE
Dr. Lutz-Ulrich Haack
Founder and Managing Partner Dr. Lutz-Ulrich Haack, LL.M., benefits from many years of experience from leading positions at Kaufland, Lidl, and the Schwarz Group. Retail is in his DNA!
After studying Business Administration at the Leipzig Graduate School of Management (HHL), Dr. Haack completed the junior executive program of Kaufland Warenhandel. After a short time, he assumed responsibility for stationery and later automotive accessories as Central Buyer International. He then moved from the Schwarz Group to Lidl E-Commerce, where he organized procurement for lidl-shop.de during its launch. As a scholarship holder of the Dieter Schwarz Foundation, he completed a part-time degree in Legal Business. Following an appointment to the holding company, he assumed responsibility for establishing the group-wide compliance system and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility).
In 2019, he left the corporate group as a member of the executive management board and, with since the founding of Unamatata GmbH, he has focused on bringing reliable and fast solutions and precise consulting to the market.

Matthias Wirth
Authorized Officer Matthias Wirth leads international sourcing, strategic procurement, and the reliable management of complex supply chains projects. With over 20 years of leadership experience in purchasing, he connects global sourcing markets to his solid European retail expertise. His professional career is characterized by extensive international experience and operational responsibility within global procurement structures. For several years, Matthias Wirth lived and worked in Asia Pacific, where he developed a direct understanding of the dynamics of Asian sourcing markets. As Office Manager and Purchasing Manager, he played a key role in building and successfully establishing purchasing offices in Shanghai and Hong Kong. The focus was always on expanding efficient direct imports, developing new sourcing channels, and ensuring quality and delivery reliability.
At the same time, Matthias Wirth has many years of experience working with leading industrial companies and renowned players in European retail. He has conducted negotiations at executive level with more than 50 industry partners and was responsible, among many duties, for the entire non-food procurement for the Czech market as well as cross-country volume management for eight European countries. In this role, he was responsible for annual purchasing volumes of several hundred million euros and managed complex goods flows across all non-food categories like technology and automotive to DIY and seasonal assortments.
As a business economist, Matthias Wirth sees himself as the bridging expert between global imports and the German market. His ambition is to create synergies using strategic foresight, strong networks, and clear structures – with the goal of delivering long-term, economically viable solutions for customers and suppliers alike.

Walter Feng Cao
Walter Feng Cao heads the Unamatata office in China. He has international experience in the automotive industry. Together with his local team, he manages the entire supply chain from raw materials and mold making to the finished end product.
The team is also supported by a high-caliber network of experienced buyers and consultants, most of whom come from the Schwarz Group but who all stand for professionalism, a global outlook and agile thinking.
Where does the name Unamatata come from? And what does the name mean, Dr. Haack?
„The song Hakuna Matata Disney’s classic film The Lion King war was a favourite song of our children at the time the company was founded. is Swahili and roughly means No worries or Everything is fine. To this day, it remains a fitting philosophy for Unamatata, which is dedicated every day to to delivering worry-free solutions for our clients.
In the meantime, Unamatata has developed into a company with reliable German and international partners as well as incredible employees. The name fits what we deliver as well as our mindset, and so it has stuck.”
